    Individualized Training

It is clear to most people that each person reacts differently to the same training. Luckily, we are now entering an era where true individualized training optimization is becoming possible. This fact of individual differences has been known for centuries, but still the everyday practise in most sports and most clubs is to treat all athletes in the group the same. The reasons given are usually lack of time and resources, so the underlying goal should be to be able to individualize automatically. This seminar will discuss the ways to create optimally individualized training programs.

    Sports Tech

Sports tech are defined as man-made means (methods) to help reach human interests or goals in or relating to a particular sport. Athletes use sports tech in attempts to improve their training and competitive situation in order to enhance their athletic performance. However, adapting technology in sports is no longer restricted to elite athletes, but includes the general recreational sports enthusiasts.

This seminar will be an exposé of current and future technologies and their use, potential, risk and effect on modern sports and training.

    Sports Genetics

Your genetic profile, the combination of ~6 billion building blocks in ~21,000 genes, will affect your ability to perform in any situation. It will affect how tall you are, if you can be super fast or get extreme endurance, and how well you respond to a certain type of training. Even though genetic tests are widely sold, and the current scientific evidence on the relationship between genetics and sports are promising, the situation is much more complex that can be assumed at first glance. This seminar will cover the basics of genetics, the interaction with the environment, common pitfalls in the interpretation, and the future possibilities.

Exercise Analytics and & AI in sports

This seminar is mainly targeting the back end analytics asking questions concerning what type of training and recovery would be the right training for the right individual at the right time, based on all available information about the athlete, including training, test results, matches, subjective ratings, response patterns, etc. For these types of questions, AI and other analysis methods can be used to predict both risk of injury and upcoming performance, and in this seminar we will go through both the theoretical approaches and show successful examples...
